SCHENECTADY – Three men were sentenced to state prison Monday for their roles in a 2021 abduction and assault case in Schenectady, Schenectady County District Attorney’s officials said. Two of the men received sentences of 25 years to life. Sentenced were Dwayne Henderson, 26, of Uniondale, Long Island, Danny Harrell, 21, and Dieago Harrell, 19, both of Hempstead, Long Island. Henderson and Danny Harrell were convicted in May of first-degree attempted murder and first-degree kidnapping. They received maximum terms of 25 years to life in prison, prosecutors said. Deiago Harrell was sentenced to 10 years, convicted of second-degree kidnapping. Deiago Harrell was acquitted of first-degree kidnapping. The three were accused of abducting a victim outside his Schenectady residence and holding that person for more than 22 hours at an apartment on Albany Street in October 2021. The person was beaten and mauled by a pit bull. Police became aware of the incident after receiving a “disturbing video” from a downstate police agency. The video was shared via the social media platform Snapchat. The victim had previously driven Henderson to the hospital the day before when Henderson complained of stomach pains, prosecutors said. Henderson had then entrusted the victim with a large bag
