WhatsApp will no longer be supported on these phone models starting April 2025

Actualizado a 20/04/2025 12:15 EDT Meta has announced new updates for its messaging app WhatsApp, which will roll out across various devices starting this April.  These updates are aimed at enhancing the user experience but will no longer be supported on devices running versions older than Android 5.0 and Apple iOS 13. WhatsApp icon is seen displayed on a phone screen NurPhoto via Getty Images WhatsApp Confirms New Features The latest WhatsApp update introduces features such as event creation and an improved call interface.  These enhancements will make the app more advanced and resource-intensive, rendering older devices incompatible.  Additional features include the ability to see online members in group chats and upgraded video call experiences powered by artificial intelligence.  These functionalities will only be available on newer devices. The goal of these updates is to prioritize user safety and optimize the overall app experience.  As a result, more advanced devices with greater internal memory capacity will be required.
