The microfinance bank has disowned the page.This Facebook page supposedly offering loans in the name of Faulu Kenya is FAKE.Faulu Kenya is a microfinance institution that offers financial services such as banking, investment, insurance, and savings among others.The page ‘Faulu’ uses Faulu Kenya’s branding and had over 1,700 likes and followers, as of 21 November 2023.The page has made posts such as this, purporting to offer loans ranging from KSh500 to KSh50,000 with a repayment period of up to 12 months.The post has a website link where users are required to provide details such as their gender, loan purpose, monthly income, and whether they have any outstanding loans.After filling in the form, users are led to another webpage with instructions on how to apply for the loan.
