The fate of So You Think You Can Dance was up in the air after Season 17, particularly after Stephen Boss — better known to his fans as tWitch — tragically died by suicide at the age of 40. The contestant-turned-judge was considered by many to be the lifeblood of the dance competition last season, and fans like myself wondered if the show would go on without him. It turns out it will indeed, as Fox announced that SYTYCD will return with a new format in March, and I think they’ve chosen the perfect panel of judges to honor tWitch.Allison Holker will join So You Think You Can Dance when Season 18 premieres on March 4, and I can’t think of a better person to help shape up-and-coming dancers than tWitch’s wife of nine years.
