Medway sex offender behind bars after spending time with kids and using Snapchat – Kent Live

A convicted Medway sex offender is behind bars after police found he was spending unsupervised time with children and using Snapchat. Brandon Coleman breached an order banning him from using any devices capable of accessing the internet or storing digital images without informing the authorities. A Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) stated that any that he did possess must be available for inspection by the police when asked. He was also prohibited from any contact with juveniles unless certain restrictions were in place and ordered not to use any form of software capable of deleting internet history or making messages disappear. The 22-year-old, of Burma Way, Chatham, became the subject of the order after being convicted of making indecent images of children in October 2021. But a report was made to Kent Police raising concerns that he was not abiding by its terms. He was arrested on October 16 and an examination of his mobile phone uncovered further prohibited activity, including that he had downloaded Snapchat and was using several different online aliases.
