Overnight incidents 1/2 May 2025 – South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue

Birley firefighters were called out to an accidental fire involving an out of control bonfire at 7:10pm on Darnall Drive, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 7:50pm. Firefighters from Aston station attended a deliberate rubbish fire at 7:35pm on Corker Bottoms Lane, Sheffield. The crew came away at 8:10pm. Thorne firefighters were called out to a small fire in woodland at 7:55pm on Waggons Way, Stainforth, Doncaster. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crew left the scene at 8:15pm. A fire crew from Rossington station attended a deliberate grassland fire at 8:55pm on Wike Gate Road, Thorne, Doncaster. The crew came away at 9:25pm. Firefighters from Doncaster station were called out to a deliberate rubbish fire at 9:05pm on Lime Tree Avenue, Armthorpe, Docnaster. The crew left the scene at 9:20pm. Two fire crews from Barnsley and Cudworth stations attended an accidental fire involving an out of control bonfire which had spread to a porch at 9:20pm on Oakfield Close, Staincross, Barnsley. The crews came away at 10:40pm. Firefighters from Birley, Parkway, Doncaster and a turntable ladder were called out to a premise on West Street, Sheffield at 9:50pm. The accidental fire was in the
