(File) A Pettis County man has been charged with possessing child sexual abuse materials (CSAM). Court records state that the Sedalia Police Department got a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in October 2024. The tip stated that a Snapchat user with an IP address in Sedalia had used the platform to view CSAM. The investigation by the officer, also a member of the Western Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC), led to Edgar G. Santiago and several other Snapchat accounts. Law enforcement executed a search warrant at his residence on Wednesday, May 7. Court documents state that they found pornographic images on Santiago’s cell phone. Prosecutors charged Santiago with Possession of Child Pornography. He was being held at the Pettis County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
