Updated: May. 23, 2025, 11:33 a.m. Published: May. 23, 2025, 11:26 a.m. A 24-year-old Harrisburg driver was charged with homicide after police said she was replying to a Snapchat message when her car veered off the road, killing a 16-year-old boy who was weed whacking at the edge of a Lancaster County cemetery. In addition to homicide by vehicle, Mikayla Mustard was charged with accidents involving death or personal injury, involuntary manslaughter, recklessly endangering another person, reckless driving, and two traffic violations. She had not been arrested but was expected to be arraigned at 11:30 a.m. Friday May 23. The May 2 crash killed Curtis Groff, 16, in the 200 block of West Sun Hill Road in Penn Township. An affidavit of probable cause written by Northern Lancaster County Regional police gave this account: Police were dispatched around 9:30 p.m. after they received a report of a juvenile found dead on the side of the road.
