Bethan Guy, of King John Street, was given a suspended sentence on October 15, 2024, for the blackmail plot that saw her sextort her victim. The victim, whom she met via Snapchat, paid her for adult content but then said he felt “trapped and helpless” when she threatened to tell his partner unless her stumped up more cash. Guy was given a two-year suspended sentence for blackmail, ordered to carry out 225 hours of unpaid work, 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days, 12 sessions of mental health treatment and £450 in compensation to be paid to the victim.
