A 17-second Twitter/X video posted by special assistant to the President and communications advisor shows Red Sox players Trevor Story, Justin Wilson, Abraham Toro, Romy Gonzalez, Connor Wong, Greg Weissert, Wilyer Abreu, Garrett Whitlock, Brennan Bernardino and Rob Refsnyder shaking hands with the President inside the Oval Office on Thursday. “The team toured the White House today as part of their family road trip to D.C.,” a team spokesperson said. The Red Sox traveled to Washington, D.C. after Wednesday night’s loss to the Reds and were accompanied by family members for their annual family road trip. Boston will face the Nationals for a three-game series beginning Friday with first pitch scheduled for 11:05 a.m. on the Fourth of July.
