Rockstar Games/Twitch Twitch is gearing up to be a major part of the GTA 6 hype cycle, with plans already in place to collaborate with Rockstar Games for the blockbuster title’s 2026 release. GTA 6 is finally slated to arrive next year and the streaming world is bracing for impact, predicting record viewership. Speaking to MeinMMO, Twitch Chief Monetization Officer Mike Minton revealed how the platform is working closely with Rockstar and other studios to support long-term engagement and maximize exposure around high-profile releases and pointed to GTA 6. “This game will likely be the biggest game of our lives,” Minton said, adding that Twitch aims to support Rockstar “from the start” and across each major phase of the game’s launch. According to Minton, Twitch has become deeply embedded in the development and marketing cycles of the gaming industry.
