BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (October 26, 2025) – The University of South Florida women’s soccer team went on the road to UAB for the final road match of the regular season. The Bulls (7-8-2, 3-4-2 American) lost to the Blazers (6-5-6, 3-3-3 American) 3-2. Early in the match, Sadie Sider-Echenberg put USF on the board with a penalty kick. The Bulls maintained a 1-0 lead until the 10th minute when Avery Berryman scored, assisted by Lauren Lucero, for the Blazers. The score remained 1-1 through halftime. UAB would take its first lead of the match in the 65th minute, with a goal from Lailah Stewart, assisted again by Lauren Lucero. The Bulls fought back and tied the match 2-2 with just five minutes remaining in the 85th minute. Selma Åström scored her second collegiate goal, assisted by Linnea Nestor . With only 18 seconds left, UAB took the lead with a goal from Sydney Bolinger, assisted by Abbey Burns. The score stayed 3-2 for the rest of the match.
