With much anticipation, Swifties at LFHS and worldwide listened very intently––some with excitement and others with mixed emotions. Now that it’s been three weeks since its debut, students have more to say on these new songs, revealing whether they have added them to their playlists or moved onto other artists’ music. Her new album sold 2.7 million copies on its first day––a remarkable achievement, building on a career background of nearly 200 million albums sold worldwide and 14 grammy awards. On Spotify the ‘The Life of A Show Girl’ became the most-streamed album in a single day, achieving this new record in under 11 hours. At LFHS, her new album has sparked frequent conversations and even some arguments. With some students liking all of her tracks, and others preferring some standout songs.
