CHICAGO – The University of Dayton volleyball swept Loyola Chicago in enemy territory (25-23, 25-21, 25-9). Tonight’s match marked head coach Tim Horsmon ‘s 600th career win and featured Kamryn Hunt reaching 1000 career kills. Dayton got out to a red-hot 12-1 start in the first set. The Ramblers closed in, tying the set at 22 apiece before the Flyers came out on top. UD opened the second set on a 5-0 run, but the Ramblers held on, keeping the score within two until kills by Kaitlyn McNeel and Viktoria Wahlgren put the Flyers up 2-0. Dayton came out hard in the third set with a .571 hitting efficiency, taking advantage of big runs to win the match in straight sets.
