Bacchus named ASUN Player of the Week – University of North Alabama Athletics

(December 8, 2025) – The Atlantic Sun Conference announced weekly awards for the week of Dec. 1-7 on Monday, naming University of North Alabama senior forward Donte Bacchus as the ASUN Player of the Week.   Bacchus led North Alabama to a pair of marquee road wins last week, including a 73-66 win over in-state rival Jacksonville State last Monday and a 65-63 win two days later at San Francisco. He averaged 19.5 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game in the wins.   This is the first career weekly honor for Bacchus, who joined the Lions from Snead State Community College last season. Bacchus is the second player to win the award from UNA this season, joining redshirt junior Corneilous Williams who won on Nov. 17.   Bacchus is one of five Lions to win a weekly award from the ASUN in the last two seasons.
