USD 383 school board president Jayme Morris-Hardeman on Thursday attracted attention for an anti-ICE post on Facebook. Morris-Hardeman, who in November was re-elected to the Manhattan-Ogden board and in January became president, commented on a friend’s post “Thank you for being an amazing support for all our students. And F*** ICE.” The post to which she was responding was an image that said, “Every student. Every background. Every identity. Every learner. Every story.” Morris-Hardeman did not immediately respond to calls for comment on Friday. The post was still up as of Friday afternoon. This follows an incident in September in which fellow board member Katie Allen made a controversial post about the death of political influencer Charlie Kirk. Allen had replied to a post with a quote from Kirk, and she replied, “Well deserved.” She lost her job at the state department of education and is suing them. Parents and the other board members asked Allen to step down, but she declined.
