Judge sets bond for Baldwin County man accused of raping teen met on Snapchat

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) – A judge has set bond for a Baldwin County man accused of raping a 15-year-old girl he met on Snapchat. Julio Perez Jr., 19, faces a total bond of $70,000. The bond includes $50,000 on a charge of traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act, and $10,000 each on second-degree rape and second-degree sodomy. If released, Perez must wear a GPS monitor, remain on house arrest, have no contact with the victim, and is banned from using smart devices or the internet. Perez remains in the Baldwin County Jail.
