The year’s most-watched advertisements have been revealed by YouTube, with Nike, Google and Hyundai the creators of the three most popular in 2020. Amid a year that brought unprecedented and unpredictable shifts for both consumers and brands, YouTube said ads in 2020 generated more than 470 million views and over 1.3 million likes—with 714,000 of those likes going to Clash of Clan’s short film, ‘Lost and Crowned’. While the list often features ads from the Super Bowl, the top game-day ad in 2020 hit a different tone, with Google’s Super Bowl spot ‘Loretta’ receiving many accolades after it shared the emotional, true story of an 85-year-old man who uses Google products to help him ‘not forget’ the memory of his late wife.
