The team captured a fourth-consecutive ICSA Women’s Fleet Race National Championship today, finishing first with a total of 113 points. Later in the week, the Cardinal took second at this week’s ICSA Open Fleet Race National Championship today, closing another dominant season of competition for Stanford Sailing. Stanford has now won seven women’s sailing national championships overall and finishes with multiple national championships for the third-straight season. This spring, the Cardinal finished first in 21 of 25 regattas, only failing to miss the top three once. Addiotnally, for the third-straight year, Vanessa Lahrkamp was been named Quantum Women’s Sailor of the Year. The senior has continued a dominant career this season, winning the award in unanimous fashion for the second-straight season to become the first-ever recipient of the award in three consecutive seasons.
