MLB Trade Deadline 2026 Twitter Reaction to Trades, Fails, Surprises and Non-Deals

The Dodgers made the biggest move on the trade market by landing Tarik Skubal for a trio of prospects on Saturday. The Cubs and others answered the Dodgers’ move with trades in the final 12 hours before the 6 p.m. ET trade deadline. Chicago, who leads the National League wild-card standings, landed Kevin Gausman and Clay Holmes to the top of its rotation. The Padres, who always seem to be active at the deadline, made some waves in the NL as well on Monday. They acquired Robbie Ray from San Francisco and Casey Mize from Detroit. The starting pitchers that didn’t move were also the story of Monday’s trade deadline. Jacob deGrom opted to stay put in with the Texas Rangers instead of waiving his no-trade clause.
