The Ambassadors Clubhouse, an Indian restaurant in Midtown Manhattan, caught fire at 10:39 a.m. while the eatery was closed. The fire remained on the building’s exterior and was contained by the New York Fire Department (FDNY) by 11:10 a.m., the FDNY confirmed in a statement to PEOPLE. No one was injured. The Ambassadors Clubhouse, operated by JKS Restaurants, will close temporarily until it is safe to reopen, a JKS Restaurants representative confirmed in a statement to PEOPLE.
