Trump Threatens NBC’s Welker with FCC Investigation After Comments on His Endorsements

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump threatened on Sunday to report NBC News’ “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker to the Federal Communications Commission after she reported that candidates he’s endorsed have had mixed results this election cycle Trump cited what he characterized as “purposeful inaccuracy” regarding his political endorsement record as the basis for the intended complaint. In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump criticized Welker for being purposefully inaccurate in her description of his endorsement outcomes.  Trump also asserted his record stands at 100% for U.S. Senate candidates and 98% for U.S. House candidates, figures he described as accurate over the long term. The comments in question were made by Welker during a pre-show segment on WRC-TV, NBC’s affiliate in Washington, D.C., according to reporting by CNN.
