PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — WHL games will stream for free on YouTube during 2026-27 season. Portland Winterhawks fans will have a new way to watch their favorite team this season. The WHL announced Wednesday that live streams of regular-season games will move to YouTube for the 2026-27 season on an interim basis. The decision comes amid uncertainty surrounding Victory+, which had served as the WHL’s exclusive livestreaming partner since March 2025. WHL Commissioner Dan Near said the move is designed to ensure fans have easy access to games when the new season begins Friday, Sept. 18. “The WHL’s audience is growing rapidly,” Near said. “We continue to believe that providing easy access to games is of critical value and importance as we look to expand our reach and deliver WHL excitement to our fans.” The Portland Winterhawks will begin the 2026-27 regular season on the road when they visit the Everett Silvertips. Fans in the Portland-metro area will be able to watch the game for free on WHL’s official YouTube.
