The accused has been identified as Kunal Jitendra Admane (25), a resident of the Parvati area. The complainant received a friend request on Snapchat from an account named Prinsika Joshi. After accepting the request, the two began communicating regularly over the phone and on social media. After gaining the complainant’s trust, the accused allegedly told him that investing in cryptocurrency could provide high financial returns. The complainant subsequently transferred 1,468 USDT, equivalent to around ₹1.5 lakh, to a crypto wallet provided by the accused.
