The Olney Country Club is inviting current members, prospective members, and the community to spend a day at the club on Saturday, Oct. 17, as it launches a membership push and gives visitors a look at ambitious plans for the club’s future. The “Our Club. Our Future. Member Day 2026” will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will combine food, golf, giveaways and tours with an opportunity to learn about improvements already underway and plans for a major clubhouse renovation. The club has invested more than $1.2 million over the past year in improvements that include new cart paths, tennis and pickleball courts, a new cart barn, driving- range targets and sand bunkers scheduled to be completed this month. Now, club leaders are turning their attention to the clubhouse. A new “Leave Your Legacy” campaign has set a $500,000 fundraising goal for renovation and expansion of the existing clubhouse. Plans call for a new bar and restaurant area, enlarged and redesigned restrooms, two indoor hitting bays, a new pro shop and other improvements.
