Police are on the hunt for a thief who stole a koala from a theme park in Perth’s south.Sixteen-year-old Orana’s “koala-napping” sparked a desperate search after her carers said it was a matter of life and death.The Bibra Lake community raced against the clock to find Orana after she was stolen from Adventure World on Saturday.Volunteers scoured the bushland surrounding the theme park in a desperate effort to find the marsupial, who only had hours to live without being given her vital medication.Call for helpA Facebook plea resulted in the local community turning out in force for the search.“Last night somebody stole Orana from Adventure World and released her into nearby bushland (recorded and released on Snapchat),” wrote Klara Donovan, whose sister had worked at Adventure World, in an urgent post on Facebook.“She is on medication and will be dead within the day if she isn’t found.“If you have some time to head over that way and help join the search, please do!”Thankfully Orana was found alive late on Sunday afternoon, up a tree and hundreds of metres away from the theme park.“Pretty much jumped for joy and just screamed … didn’t think we’d have a hope in hell of…
