WENATCHEE — Local police are seeking charges against an Everett man who allegedly advertised drugs for sale on Snapchat, and tried to peddle them in the Wenatchee area. Jhon Hegel Jackson, 22, is suspected of using the social media app to offer cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms and illicit painkillers for sale. He allegedly told Snapchat contacts that he was on his way to Wenatchee, and to place their orders if they were in the area. Court records show a Wenatchee police detective arranged to buy drugs in a sting operation, and arrested Jackson on Friday when he arrived at the agreed meeting place in Wenatchee. Police say he admitted to the crime, and was transporting cocaine, psilocybin, cannabis edibles and leaf, and Percocet and Fentanyl tablets, as well as a stolen pistol. Jackson remained jailed Tuesday morning in the Chelan County Regional Justice Center. Criminal charges have yet to be filed.
