Marshfield couple takes love of food to Instagram

Marshfield couple Brendan and Elizabeth Coyne have always loved eating out and the South Shore – two passions that merged two years ago in the creation of their popular Instagram blog, Foodies South Shore.In the nearly two years since starting their Instagram blog, they’ve amassed over 2,200 followers looking for recommendations and scenic, food-centric pictures. “Every time we would go out on the South Shore, we would take pictures of the places and the food and ambience,” Brendan said. “We would always describe what we were feeling and the essence of the places, and we just kept doing that and it turned into people noticing us.”Posts on their page range from locations throughout the South Shore and from breweries, coffee shops, restaurants, bars and ice cream shops – all with the aim of celebrating local business, exposing more people to delicious offerings and supporting the community on the South Shore.Some of the couple’s favorite spots include the Untold and Stellwagen breweries, Corner Cafe in Marshfield, The Jetty in Brant Rock, who they’ve partnered with for multiple giveaways, and coffee shops Seabird, in Cohasset, and Slacktide, in Marshfield. When COVID-19 hit, the restaurant industry was hit hard. “The pandemic put a damper on it, but…
