New Avatar 'series' coming to YouTube this month

Avatar: The Last Airbender’s official YouTube channel announced Friday that a new Avatar “series” is on the way, but no specifics as to the magnitude of the series were given in the passive reveal. The news came as part of an announcement of the channel’s Earth Day weekend celebration, which will be a three-day event on the channel starting April 22. The Earth Day event will include original videos, a livestream on each of the three days, and “a new, original series exclusively on this channel,” according to the announcement, which was quickly noticed by the fan site Avatar News. The only problem is, there’s no word on what kind of series this will be. It seems unlikely that it would be a full-fledged new entry in the Avatar universe, but it would also be a little surprising for the announcement to say “series” in relation to a franchise known for expansive storytelling.
