Google makes it easy to set YouTube videos and playlists to repeat at the end when using a desktop browser or app but harder with a mobile browser. Google hid some of the desktop features of YouTube behind a menu, such as the ability to repeat a single video over and over again. The ability to auto-repeat a video can be quite convenient when using YouTube to provide a pleasing background sound that won’t abruptly stop, such as nature videos and ASMR, or to loop a favorite new song. YouTube has a rich feature set, which makes sense given that the website has been in existence since 2005. It’s possible to play a video in slow motion or speed it up. With a long history and a very complete set of controls and options, YouTube is a powerhouse of video content and sharing, with a very active community.
