Dupree Rollins arrested in connection to Phoenix fatal shooting from July – The Arizona Republic

Phoenix police arrested 18-year-old Dupree Rollins last month in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred at an apartment complex in July. On July 20, police responded to an emergency call shortly after 4:15 a.m. at an apartment complex near West Glenrosa Avenue and Black Canyon Highway, according to court documents.On the way to the scene, they were told a person had been shot inside the apartment. Officers arrived to find the apartment door closed but unlocked. When officers made their way inside, they found a man with several gunshot wounds in the living room, according to court documents.Ten casings were found on the floor. Phoenix fire personnel pronounced the man dead on scene.The victim was identified as 16-year-old Romeo Perkins by Phoenix police and in the documents. The 911 caller, a woman who was on scene, told police she was inside with Rollins and Perkins when the trio left to go to a convenience store at around 11 p.m. and returned a short time later, according to court documents. Video surveillance confirmed they returned to the apartment.Dupree exited the apartment twice that night, once at 1:15 a.m. and then again shortly before 2:30 a.m. He appeared to be his phone and paced around the pool.At about 4:15 a.m., an unknown man wearing black pants, a black hoodie and black backpack was seen fleeing the…
