Facebook, Twitter and other defendants were hit with a civil rights lawsuit Monday in California Central District Court. The court action was brought by Cochran Firm California on behalf of Darnell Hicks, who alleges he was falsely named in social media postings about a police-involved shooting. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2:21-cv-07330, Hicks v. Facebook et al.
