Twitch Megaleak Reveals Amazon's Alleged Plans For A Steam Competitor | Ubergizmo

Last week, it was revealed that Twitch had suffered a massive data breach in which information about the platform was stolen. This contained data like Twitch’s source code, payout information to streamers, and a rather interesting tidbit of information, such as how Amazon could be looking to build its own Steam competitor.Steam, for those unfamiliar, is a digital storefront for games by Valve. It has become more or less the de facto platform to purchase video games online. According to a tweet by Twitter user @Sinoc229, as part of the data breach, it was discovered that Amazon could be working on their own version of Steam which they have cheekily codenamed “Vapor”. Grabbed Vapor, the codename for Amazon’s Steam competitor.
