Malvern Town fined after “sexist and derogatory” WhatsApp group complaint | Worcester News

A GROUP including a football club chairman and players, shared highly explicit photos and made derogatory comments to a female member of staff, an FA disciplinary panel has found. The FA investigated after a former female physio at Malvern Town Football Club complained about a game and a WhatsApp chat in which a number of comments were made, with photos of male genitalia being sent too. Chairman Chris Pinder apologised after the club was found to have not taken seriously accusations from a female physio, who we have decided not to name, of sexist behaviour and comments. At one point, photos of male genitalia were shared by player James Febery. The FA judgement, available on the Worcestershire FA’s website, states that on March 5 this year, a Zoom call was arranged with 25 participants including Mr Pinder and first team staff Dene Whittall-Williams and Lee Hooper. Some first team players and under-18s squad members were also involved, as was the physio who made the complaints, who has since left the club.
