Post a picture of your cat, dog, rabbit or fish on your Instagram story and someone will plant a tree.The only question – and arguably the most important one – was, who is ‘we’.In a statement to 7NEWS.com.au, a Facebook company spokesperson clarified the trend, like all other Add Yours threads, was created by an individual Instagram user – not Instagram.“Add Yours stickers will show the original author when you tap on them, except in some cases where the author deletes the original post or if their account is private,” the spokesperson said.The creators of Instagram’s ‘We’ll plant 1 tree for every pet picture’ trend have purportedly been revealed.
