03/21/2022 11:03 a.m. Eric Albitz Photo Credit: Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office A 36-year-old man on probation for promoting child pornography in Maryland two years ago was arrested again on similar offenses in Pennsylvania, authorities said.Eric Albitz, of Upper Pottsgrove, PA, had 37 pictures and videos of child pornography on his cell phone of girls as young as 8 years old, they said. Detectives with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office found the content during a warranted search of his Snyder Road home in Jan. 2022 after they had linked his IP address to a Snapchat account that had uploaded a video of suspected child abuse in Sept. 2021.The investigation began in Oct. 2021, when county detectives received a tip from the Delaware County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force about possible “sexual abuse” shared on Snapchat, they said. When authorities arrived at the home, they spoke with Albitz’s mom, who apparently told them that he was a registered sex offender, according to a criminal complaint.
