The tab for calls will now appear in all Facebook Messenger user’s apps. As this feature is slowly rolling out to a few selected users, they can now spot this function on the lower section of the app’s screen, situated between the People and Chats tab. It will eventually be available to all users since it is being updated in phases.According to Meta, the decision to integrate the feature for calls on the Facebook Messenger app’s main screen was taken because of the substantial increase in video and audio calls conducted through another user’s chat window. To call someone on the app, users had to create a new chat and then tap on the call button. The update has made making calls on Messenger more accessible and easier to use.There are 40 percent more regular users now than earlier in the year 2020. The reason behind this is the COVID-19 outbreak which drove many companies and employees to work remotely, where they used video and speech to conduct meetings and conferences.
