JP Morgan Private Bank has recruited a portfolio strategist from UBS to join its team in New York. Hector Trujillo Gutierrez joined JP Morgan this month after nearly eight years with the Swiss firm, according to an announcement he made through LinkedIn on Thursday. Trujillo Gutierrez was a director, portfolio strategist at UBS and prior to that covered Latin American sovereign risk for the firm, per LinkedIn. A spokesperson for JP Morgan did not return a request for comment while Trujillo Gutierrez did not respond to an inquiry sent through social media. While at UBS he held dual registrations as a broker and investment advisor. According to his BrokerCheck report, he left UBS on Tuesday. Prior to UBS, Gutierrez spent a year with Roubini Global Economics as a Latin American analyst and also worked as an assistant economist to the Chief Economist Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit in Mexico City between 2010 and 2012, per LinkedIn.
