ELYSBURG – Spend part of the summer near Knoebels, camp for free and work for the amusement park . . . Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg recently announced their new Work ’n Kamp program. Participants will work 40 hours per week at Knoebels Lake Glory Campground in Catawissa to earn their full stay at that location from July 31 through September 3. There needs to be two workers at each campsite according to park officials, who said they heard from numerous campers who would stay and work but didn’t have a place to stay. The workers must provide their own camper and will be able to utilize the camp’s shuttle service and other benefits for campers, like free electricity, water and sewer.
