DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) – Social media scams happen everyday, users selling items and taking money from victims without fulfilling the purchase. This happened again in Geneva County.
Geneva County Sheriff Tony Helms said in this case the product was a mobile home that was being sold that did not belong to the seller in any way. The victim was scammed through Facebook market place and Sheriff Helms shares how you can prevent this from happening to yourself.
