It’s not the first time the Englishman has lost his temper on the golf course Matt Wallace is known to sometimes let his fiery side out, and we saw it again during the third-round of the Valspar Championship after a clip of the Englishman and his caddie Sam Bernard went viral. On the 18th hole of Innisbrook’s Copperhead course, Wallace’s ball was on a cart path and he wanted to play it from the path, but his caddie thought differently. Bernard was keen for his boss to take a drop to the right of the path, which apparently disrupted the four-time DP World Tour winner’s rhythm. Footage shows Wallace and Bernard in a heated argument after the golfer hit the shot from the path short of the green. It doesn’t take too much lip-reading expertise to work out he tells his bagman to “shut the f*** up”. This is why players need to be mic’d up! But all is well – for now.
