Instagram appears to be developing an AI chatbot with 30 different personalities to choose from

June 6, 2023 9:44 PM AI chatbots are seemingly everywhere — and now they might be coming to Instagram. Instagram appears to be testing out an AI chatbot, according to a mobile developer. The chatbot could answer questions, give advice, and help users write messages. Earlier this year, Snapchat released its own AI chatbot to generally negative reviews. Users will be able to choose between 30 different personalities for the AI agents, Paluzzi says. His post indicates that it could offer creative solutions to “find the best way to express yourself.” Instagram did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment regarding the chatbot. Meta previously announced that it was planning to experiment with AI on Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram. In Februrary, Zuckerberg said the company’s long-term goal was to create AI personas that can help people in a variety of ways. On Instagram, he said the company was working on AI to optimize filters and ads.
