SF Supervisor Dean Preston says he’s deleting his Twitter/X account, two weeks after the company’s owner, Elon Musk, tweeted that Preston should “go to prison,” becoming the latest in a string of city supervisors to leave the platform.Citing a rise in harassment, anti-semitism, and misinformation since Musk made the late-September threat against him — along with Musk’s possibly empty threat to donate $100,000 to an effort to oust him — Preston says he’s leaving Twitter for good.”It’s a reality check that it’s not a safe or productive place to share my thoughts,” Preston tells the Chronicle. “Twitter has been overwhelmed by trolls and disinformation since Musk took over.
