(KSNW) — A Salina middle school teacher is accused of providing alcohol to a former student and giving THC products to other underage students, according to the probable cause affidavit. Amanda Freeman made her first appearance in Saline County District Court Thursday, September 11, where she was charged with unlawful distribution of cannabinoids, specifically less than 10 doses of an item containing THC, aggravated endangering a child, contributing to a child’s misconduct or deprivation, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawfully hosting minors consuming alcohol, and furnishing alcohol to a minor. The affidavit provides details of the allegations against her. According to the affidavit, the mother of a teen arrived at the Salina Police station shortly after 4 a.m. September 8, saying she had discovered messages on her son’s cell phone between him and his former middle school teacher. She said she had started going through his phone because she believed he was talking to suspicious people and was concerned about the relationship between her son and Freeman.
