Twitter Starts to Roll Out Analytics for Spaces – Digital Information World

Twitter has been trying to experiment with new features for quite some time now, and while some of their experimental features such as Fleets ended up being removed for one reason or another, there have also been a few successes in that regard. One of the most prominent new features that Twitter has managed to incorporate into its platform is Spaces which is essentially a form of live broadcast in which you and other Twitter users that you give access to can have live discussions in front of a digital audience. The social media platform has been adding multiple new features to Spaces in order to improve its functionality, and the latest update that it has brought to the mix involves allowing some Spaces hosts to start seeing their analytics. This will include statistics like how many listeners the Spaces was able to attract who were unique, the number of speakers that ended up being involved in the Space as well as other useful things like replays and total Spaces duration. Another thing that Twitter has been trying to do is to allow users to host ticketed Spaces in order to increase their overall revenue streams,  » Read More

The Spotify app is about to become even less music-centric | Trusted Reviews

If you’re no fan of the way Spotify has added podcasts to the main app, then the company’s rumoured next move is going to please you even less. According to a report from Bloomberg, the company wants to increase the visibility of its Greenroom live audio app by adding it to the main app. The report says Spotify plans to change the name of the Clubhouse rival to Spotify Live as part of the switch to the main app. It may also require all Greenroom users to have a Spotify account, which hasn’t been the case until now. News of the upcoming switch was found within the Spotify iPhone app by developer Steve Moser, while Bloomberg was able to confirm through its own sources. Spotify hasn’t commented on the matter. The Greenroom app, which encourages live conversation among groups of people, was only acquired by Spotify last year and was previously known as Locker Room. It seems another rebrand might be on the way. Spotify bills it as a place to talk about the music you love,  » Read More

Luann de Lesseps Reacts to Ex-Husband Tom D'Agostino's Engagement | The Daily Dish – Bravo TV

Tom D'Agostino ended 2021 with a pretty big announcement. The ex-husband of Luann de Lesseps proposed to girlfriend Danielle Rollins on New Year's Eve — which just so happened to be the same day Tom wed Luann back in 2016. So, when Luann made her return to the Bravo Clubhouse during the March 22 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, a member of the virtual audience wanted to know what her reaction was to Tom popping the question on what had been their wedding date, as well as if she had congratulated her ex yet. In regards to whether Luann had sent Tom, whom she split with in 2017, a mazel since his engagement, she said, "Oh, no, I have not." Andy Cohen then asked Luann what she thought about Tom getting engaged on the same holiday their wedding took place, offering up his own opinion on the matter. "I didn't like it," Andy told Luann.  » Read More

Ex-teacher jailed 10 weeks, fined for taking voyeuristic videos of colleagues, students and policeman

SINGAPORE — After more than a year of taking voyeuristic videos of his male colleagues and students, a secondary school teacher was finally nabbed when he filmed a police investigation officer who was in a condominium clubhouse’s toilet. On Wednesday (March 23), the teacher, who has since left the education sector and no longer teaches in a school, was sentenced to 10 weeks' jail and a S$2,000 fine. The 49-year-old Singaporean man cannot be named due to a court order to protect his victims’ identities. He pleaded guilty last month to two charges each of committing public nuisance and making an obscene film, with another six similar charges taken into consideration for sentencing. He will begin serving his sentence on April 19. His cousin agreed to continue posting bail for him. In her sentencing remarks, District Judge Melissa Tan said that the man's mental condition — persistent depressive disorder with anxious distress — was not so significant as to displace the sentencing principle of deterrence. He was aware of the nature and wrongfulness of his actions,  » Read More
