Clubhouse for Android Expected to Launch Soon

Mobile Application Now Reading Clubhouse for Android Expected to Launch Soon Clubhouse has grown in popularity as a social networking platform due to its unique nature and exclusivity to iOS. Soon, Clubhouse for Android will be launching, and we have a rough idea when we can expect it. Clubhouse for Android Expected to Launch Soon Clubhouse for Android will be coming soon, and this was confirmed by co-founder Paul Davison himself. It’s said that the development team is hard at work in making the audio-based social media platform available for Android. Unfortunately, there’s no word on exactly when it will be coming. It would be a safe bet for it to launch within 2021, but we do expect it to happen within the next couple of months. Paul Davison also mentioned that they are looking to drop the invite-only status for the platform in the coming months as they want to open it up to everyone,  » Read More

The rise of Clubhouse

Clubhouse, a newly emerging social media mobile application, has been rapidly growing in popularity worldwide. This new, invite-only platform, based on voice, has lured many famous individuals, from Elon Musk to Bill Gates, to help stir engaging and relevant conversations with the general public. Launched in March 2020, Clubhouse is a social media platform where users come together from all around the world to talk, listen and learn from one another. Currently, it is only available to iPhone users, and new users can sign up via iMessage referrals from other existing users either on the platform or via a waitlist. People can connect and converse with individuals they know as well as others outside their first connection. New connections can be formed through mutual relations and while having discussions in a room. “This is very similar to very old school chat rooms,” Podcast Producer and Early Clubhouse Adopter Jerry Won said. As soon as users enter the app, they are presented with a hallway that shows the various rooms that people they follow are currently speaking or listening in.  » Read More

Why Some Anime Take So Long to Get More Seasons

Why do we have to wait years for the second season of so many anime? The reasons might surprise (and shock) you. Nowadays, it is not uncommon for there to be long time gaps between seasons of anime. For instance, there was a four-year gap between the respective first and second seasons of Attack on Titan and One-Punch Man, but it only took five years to get three Iron Man movies from Marvel Studios. Although the reasons for Attack on Titan's four years are very different from One-Punch Man's, they're by no means exceptional cases in the world of anime. Let’s take a look at a few reasons why some anime take such a long time to get another season. Continue scrolling to keep reading Click the button below to start this article in quick view. Clubhouse App on Android – When Will the Drop-In Audio App Expand?

Photo Credit: Nathana RebouçasWant the Clubhouse app on Android? Here’s what we know about when it’s coming. In February, Clubhouse hired an Android software developer to begin working on the app. In the Clubhouse weekly Townhall event last Sunday, new platforms were the focus. Co-founder Paul Davison says his team is working really hard to bring the app to Android. But the timeline is looking like a few months, rather than a few weeks away.A January blog post from Clubhouse said its the Clubhouse Android app would be coming “soon.” But no time frame was provided, and statements about the Android version have been vague. That’s unfortunate for people who want to join the drop-in audio network. Meanwhile, competitors like Twitter and Facebook are hard at work on their clones.Twitter Spaces is now available to Android users and allows users to talk in live audio rooms. Right now, the feature is only available to a select few users. But Twitter says it plans to roll out Spaces to the general public next month.  » Read More

Slack plans to bring Clubhouse audio features to its app, because why not?

Slack has been doing the absolute most lately, and not much of it good. The app just introduced a Slack Connect private messaging feature that allows members to send direct messages to anyone outside of their organization, something that caused much backlash. But the company isn't done introducing new features to the platform, and the next set will come straight from Clubhouse. Slack CEO Stewart Butterfield confirmed (via Portal) in a Clubhouse chat that the app will add some new audio features that will be similar to Clubhouse. He didn't go into detail, but it's not surprising that the company wants to introduce new audio features, considering a growing number of platforms have already launched or plan to launch their own versions of the app. Meanwhile, Clubhouse availability on Android is still in the works, but some companies like Telegram are beating it to the punch. Audio groups isn't the only feature coming to Clubhouse. A simple audio messaging feature is currently being tested on Slack,  » Read More

Subdivision of pavilion and clubhouse from muni golf course approved

By ASHLEY ONYON The Recorder AMSTERDAM — The sale of the city’s municipal golf course clubhouse and pavilion for $50,000 advanced toward the green this week with the approval by the Planning Commission of the subdivision of the properties from the golf course. The Common Council in February approved a pair of ordinances by votes of 4-1 authorizing the sale of the clubhouse and pavilion properties to Van Dyke Clubhouse and Van Dyke Pavilion, limited liability corporations controlled by Lance Orcutt, co-founder of Executive Group. The $50,000 property sale has been touted by city officials as an opportunity to have a private entity build a modern clubhouse on the site if the existing building that was considered outdated before it suffered severe flood damage in February 2019 caused by burst pipes. The city originally planned to use the approximately $1.6 million insurance payout related to the damage to remediate the building. The city later received an offer from Orcutt seeking to purchase the clubhouse and pavilion for a combined $50,000,  » Read More

In Its First Campaign, Lily's Sweets 'Reimagines' The Chocolate Experience

by Steve Ellwanger , 4 hours ago Having achieved more than 200,000 points of distribution since its founding in 2010, Lily’s Sweets is launching the specialty chocolate brand’s first advertising campaign. It's called “Sweets, Reimagined” and is designed to overcome the #1 barrier for persuading consumers to try a sugar-free or low-sugar candy: taste.A main differentiator of Lily’s products is that they get their sweetness from the stevia plant.Launching this week, a 15-second spot titled “Hello Sweetness” eschews a voiceover in favor of visuals of three Lily’s chocolate bars. It ends with the notation “The future of sweets has arrived.”advertisementadvertisementUntil the onset of COVID-19, one of the brand’s main tactics for generating trial and awareness was in-store sampling, since 87% of people buy chocolate based on taste, according to Lily’s Chief Executive Officer Jane Miller.Despite being the #3 specialty chocolate brand after Lindt and Ghirardelli, “We actually have very low awareness and relatively low household penetration,  » Read More

Facebook's Clubhouse rival looks a lot like Clubhouse right now

Facebook is building a Clubhouse rival, The New York Times reported in February. But what that product will look like or how it will work have been questions that have remained unanswered. However, new screenshots of a Facebook audio product, still under development, show what appears to be a live audio broadcast experience that’s more of an extension of Facebook’s existing Messenger Rooms, rather than a standalone app experience. Facebook confirmed with TechCrunch the images are indeed examples of the company’s “exploratory audio efforts,” but cautioned that they don’t represent a live product at this time. The company said also that detailing what a product may look like based on these images would be inaccurate. We’ve decided to publish them anyway with the caveat that, of course, in-development features are very different from live products. Anything and everything could still change between now and a public launch. But the images at least help demonstrate how Facebook is thinking about live audio and where such a social experience could fit within Facebook’s existing app.  » Read More
