Megalodome Golf launches $50 million investment fund to build domed golf course in Oswego

Canada-based Megalodome Golf has announced that it has launched a $50 million investment fund to build its nine-hole domed golf course near Route 30 in Oswego. The company made the announcement recently on its website. In September 2024, Oswego village trustees unanimously approved the concept plans of Megalodome Golf to construct four 270,000-square-foot golf domes that would house the nine-hole golf course along with a practice and training facility. An 8,000-square-foot clubhouse also is proposed. The practice and training facility would include a 275-yard driving range that would allow for real ball flight visualization. “Established in close collaboration with renowned capital-raising expert Brad Blazar and his platform, Capital Connections, and his legal team, this fund marks the official kickoff of a project set to redefine industry standards,” the company said in a statement. “This strategic partnership ensures a solid and attractive structure for accredited investors looking to partner with a world first.” The project is being called as the world’s first indoor golf experience that replicates a real golf course.  » Read More

New venue will let you play 18 holes of golf at Wilmington Riverfront

Jan. 31, 2026, 7:26 a.m. ET Add a round of indoor golf to the list of things you can do on the Wilmington Riverfront. Wilmington developer Buccini/Pollin Group is adding a 8,000-square-foot indoor golf venue at 401 S. Madison St. inside the same building as Penn Cinema. Renovations will be made to the building to include a separate entrance to the golf facility. The Clubhouse of Delaware, opening in the spring, will feature nine golf simulators and a restaurant to bring more entertainment options to Wilmington's growing Riverfront. “We’ve heard from residents that there is a desire for entertainment options beyond restaurants and bars, and we’re proud to support local operators in bringing a cutting-edge concept to our community,” Buccini/Pollin Group founder Rob Buccini said in a press release. The golf facility will feature real putting greens, artificial intelligence-driven performance technology to measure ball and club metrics, and virtual reality tools that allow guests to play on world-famous golf courses. The venue also plans to offer golf lessons and youth programming.  » Read More

Donnelly: No decision on 97-home Boulder Creek – The Lewiston Tribune

Stories in this Regional News Roundup are excerpted from weekly newspapers from around the region. This is part one, with part two scheduled to appear in Sunday’s Tribune. McCALL — A public hearing on the 97-home Boulder Creek development in Donnelly was continued to Feb. 9, with city council members saying they needed more time to consider the application. The public hearing will be taken up again to 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9 at the Donnelly Community Center and will be limited to discussion on the subject of a second access point for the development. Mayor Susan Dorris recused herself from the council deliberations for the hearing, citing herself as a neighbor to the proposed development. Ten people spoke in opposition and six people wrote in with concerns regarding the Boulder Creek proposal during the public hearing on Monday. The development is proposed to be built on about 23 acres on Eld Lane in Donnelly and includes 97 homes referred to as “multi-family units,” 14 recreational cabins, three short-term rentals,  » Read More

Caldy Rugby Club urges council to approve plans to save it – Birkenhead News

A Merseyside rugby club seeing success on the pitch has urged the council to approve plans as current losses “mean that the club is not sustainable”. Caldy Rugby Club is going up against neighbours who claim they’re suffering from “significant nuisance”. Caldy Sports Club has applied to Wirral Council for permission to demolish its existing clubhouse and replace it with a new, larger facility. This includes a community hub, remodelling the existing car park, as well as creating new groundsman buildings, a tractor store, and a building for bikes. The club on Telegraph Road has been there since 1925 and has seen greater success in recent years on the pitch. However, if the plans are not approved, the club argues that this could put its future in jeopardy. Despite strong support, the plans will be brought before Wirral councillors at a planning meeting on 5 February because of opposition from some in the area. In planning application documents, the club said that the current building “is no longer fit for purpose” and “structurally inadequate”.  » Read More
