Top-ranking CIA official shared pro-Palestinian Facebook posts weeks after Hamas attack: report

A high-ranking CIA official boldly shared multiple pro-Palestinian images on her Facebook page just two weeks after Hamas launched its bloody surprise attack on Israel — while President Biden was touring the Jewish state to pledge the US’s allegiance to the nation. The CIA’s associate deputy director for analysis changed her cover photo on Oct. 21 to a shot of a man wearing a Palestinian flag around his neck and waving a larger flag, the Financial Times reported. The image — taken in 2015 during a surge in the long-stemming conflict — has been used in various news stories and pieces criticizing Israel’s role in the violence. The CIA agent also shared a selfie with a superimposed “Free Palestine” sticker, similar to those being plastered on businesses and public spaces across the nation by protesters calling for a cease-fire. The Financial Times did not name the official after the intelligence agency expressed concern for her safety. “The officer is a career analyst with extensive background in all aspects of the Middle East and this post was not intended to express a position on the conflict,” a person familiar with the situation told the outlet.  » Read More

Chilliwack farmer posted video to Facebook before highway tractor crash

A well-known Chilliwack farmer was reportedly involved in a tractor crash involving a police cruiser on Highway 1 in Surrey on Saturday. Prior to the police incident, Bill Shoker posted several public videos to his Facebook page from the driver’s seat of a green John Deere tractor. He narrated where he was on the highway, and where he was heading, before turning the camera to show his face. Shoker said his name, his business name (Shoker Farms Ltd. in Chilliwack) and also explained the reason for the stunt, saying it was a protest against an educational resource called SOGI 123. The tractor was one of several vehicles involved in a convoy that began in Chilliwack and traveled into Vancouver. Later that day, the same green tractor collided with a p0lice cruiser as a traffic stop was being attempted at a highway exit. The tractor flipped, and officers immediately exited their own vehicles and apprehended the driver. The crash and arrest were recorded by someone in a vehicle that had pulled off the busy highway to make way for the police.  » Read More
