Maricopa County elections officials refute all fraud claims from audit of 2020 results – KTAR.com

PHOENIX — Maricopa County elections officials during a hearing Wednesday provided a rebuttal to all claims of fraud brought forth during the audit of 2020 results conducted by contractors of the Republican-led Arizona Senate. The county also released a 93-page report that detailed 87 potentially questionable ballots. Cyber Ninjas, the audit’s lead contractor, said in its final report on Sept. 24 that over 53,000 ballots were potentially questionable. A total of 40 claims made by the Cyber Ninjas were rebuffed by county election officials. The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, County Recorder Stephen Richer, County Elections Department Director Scott Jarrett and other officials participated in the hearing. “It’s my hope that this will be the last word on the November 2020 election, because you’re going to hear the facts today in detail,” Supervisor Bill Gates, who was elected as the board’s chairman earlier in the day, said at the top of the hearing. The county said it had forwarded 37 instances where a voter could have unlawfully cast multiple ballots to the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.  » Read More

'We looked to digital': How a regional grocery chain is using Facebook live shopping to get …

As the social commerce arms race continues to take shape, Texas-based grocery chain H-E-B is banking on Facebook’s live shopping feature to reach more shoppers, who are increasingly spending more time online due to the on-going pandemic. It’s also a move to maintain brand relevance and build an online community after Covid-19 safety precautions shuttered the grocer’s in-store cooking demonstration food samplings known as Cooking Connection. “It’s our job to make sure that we continue that relationship with them even when they’re not setting foot into our stores,” said Giovanna Dimperio, senior director of digital marketing at H-E-B. “When COVID struck, and we weren’t able to have that resource in the stores, we looked to digital.” Originally, the regional grocery chain, which also has locations in northeast Mexico, started its weekly, interactive cooking series on Zoom in November 2020. But after Facebook rolled out its live shopping capabilities last May, H-E-B folded the social media giant into its digital video strategy. According to Dimperio, the Facebook series features local chefs and allows viewers to purchase H-E-B products used during the tutorial,  » Read More

Rep. Greene says Facebook blocked her account for 24 hours – Silicon Valley

By Donie O’Sullivan | CNN Facebook has blocked Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from posting on its platform for 24 hours, the Georgia Republican said Monday. The congresswoman reacted to the temporary Facebook ban through her Telegram account, writing, “Facebook has joined Twitter in censoring me.” A spokesperson for Meta, Facebook’s parent company, said Facebook removed one of Greene’s posts about Covid-19. “A post violated our policies and we have removed it; but removing her account for this violation is beyond the scope of our policies,” the spokesperson said. The decision comes a day after Twitter permanently suspended one of Greene’s accounts for repeatedly violating the platform’s rules against Covid-19 misinformation. Greene, a right-wing Republican, had most frequently tweeted from the @mtgreenee handle, which had more than 465,000 followers. She still has access to and can tweet from her official congressional account @RepMTG, which has more than 386,000 followers. The congresswoman has a long history of embracing baseless conspiracy theories, and she has been a serial tweeter of false claims — about the election,  » Read More
