LinkedIn Co-Founder Reid Hoffman Spreads Misinformation While Calling For … – Reclaim The Net

In a recent conversation with The Washington Post on the implications of the First Amendment and freedom of speech, LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman expressed his perspective on what he thinks is the need for modern restrictions on speech to combat “misinformation.” But even his own call to action contained misinformation. Hoffman’s argument revolves around two main points: freedom of speech and freedom of reach. He says the amplification and discovery of content, especially AI-generated content, can impact the socio-political landscape. https://video.reclaimthenet.org/articles/reid-hoffman-fire-crowded-theater.mp4 “We don’t really have the right discourse mechanisms for doing that. And you know, one of them obviously is freedom of speech and freedom of reach. But there are ways you can tailor your meals toward what you're hoping to get out of your day.On an individual basis, Feller notes that people should generally make their breakfast choices based on factors like affordability, accessibility, cultural relevance and taste."It's not nutritious unless we eat it. If it doesn't taste good, then we won't interact with it," she tells CNBC Make It. "Breakfast is that first meal of the day for many people. LinkedIn Cutting 716 Employees – Redmondmag.com

News LinkedIn Cutting 716 Employees By Kurt Mackie05/10/2023 The LinkedIn careers site, owned by Microsoft, is laying  off 716 employees, per a Monday announcement. LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky described the layoffs as a hard decision to address a rapidly changing business landscape. As part of the job cuts, the company is ending its Global Business Organization. The existing Product and Engineering teams at LinkedIn will be the company's replacement for that organization. LinkedIn also is curtailing its business approach in China by eliminating its InCareer jobs app "by August 9, 2023." Going forward, LinkedIn's work in China will instead focus on "assisting companies operating in China to hire, market, and train abroad." Despite the overall layoffs, LinkedIn still plans to hire "more than 250 new roles for specific segments of our operations, new business and account management teams starting on May 15." This approach was described as "aligning our teams for growth." The macroeconomic environment for LinkedIn's fiscal-year 2024 is expected to "remain challenging," Roslansky indicated, and so the company will "continue to manage our expenses as we invest in strategic growth areas." Back in February, LinkedIn cut an undisclosed number of its talent acquisition team. That cut, as well
